  • ¼ cup Soy Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Rice Vinegar
  • ¼ cup Honey

  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Ginger, grated
  • ½ teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
  • ½ cup Cooking Oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Press the Tofu: Remove excess water from tofu by pressing it between paper towels for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  2. Prepare the Tofu: Cut pressed tofu into bite-sized cubes.
  3. Coat the Tofu in Cornstarch: Toss tofu cubes in cornstarch until coated.
  4. Prepare the Honey Garlic Sauce: Whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes.
  5. Fry the Tofu Until Crispy: Fry cornstarch-coated tofu in hot oil until golden brown.
  6. Cook Until Golden and Crispy: Fry tofu for 5-7 minutes per side until crispy.
  7. Add Tofu to the Honey Garlic Sauce: Simmer honey garlic sauce, then add fried tofu and coat evenly.
  8. Coat the Tofu in the Sauce: Toss tofu in the sauce and cook briefly to glaze.
  9. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions, then serve hot.
