  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

For the Stir Fry:

  • 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. STEP 1: MARINATE THE STEAK AND SHRIMP – In a bowl, combine soy sauce and cornstarch. Add the sliced flank steak and shrimp, mix well, and marinate for 15-20 minutes.
  2. STEP 2: COOK THE STEAK – Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a skillet over high heat. Cook the steak for 2-3 minutes until browned, then set aside.
  3. STEP 3: COOK THE SHRIMP – Add more oil to the skillet if needed. Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
  4. STEP 4: STIR FRY THE VEGETABLES – Sauté bell pepper, broccoli, and carrot for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp. Add garlic and ginger, cook for another minute.
  5. STEP 5: COMBINE AND SERVE – Return meat to the skillet with vegetables. Toss together and cook for 1 minute. Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
