  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons Kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

Main Ingredients:

  • 3 pounds baby back pork ribs (also known as pork loin back ribs)
  • ½ a yellow onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup water
  • Your favorite BBQ sauce (about 1 cup or to taste)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ribs: Remove the membrane from the back side of the ribs. Pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Apply Dry Rub: Mix all dry rub ingredients and rub them all over the ribs.
  3. Cook in Slow Cooker: Place ribs in slow cooker with onions, garlic, and water. Cook on LOW for 6 hours.
  4. Broil: Brush ribs with BBQ sauce and broil for 2-4 minutes until caramelized.
  5. Serve: Enjoy with additional BBQ sauce and onions if desired.

Notes

  • Make sure not to overcook the ribs in the slow cooker to avoid them falling apart.
  • Cutting the ribs into pieces can help with easier removal from the slow cooker.
  • Adjust the amount of BBQ sauce to your preference for sauciness.
