Ingredients

Scale

Cheese

  • 1 wheel Brie cheese (8 oz)

Herb Mixture

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme or 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary or 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Garnish & Serving

  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon honey, optional
  • Crackers or baguette slices, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and allow it to fully preheat to ensure even baking of the Brie.
  2. Prepare Cheese: Place the wheel of Brie onto a baking dish or a parchment-lined baking sheet. Optionally, lightly trim the rind from the edges to make scooping the cheese easier after baking.
  3. Combine Garlic and Herbs: In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, minced garlic, fresh or dried thyme, fresh or dried rosemary, and season with a pinch of salt and black pepper. Stir until the mixture is well combined.
  4. Top Brie with Herb Mixture: Spoon the garlic and herb mixture evenly over the surface of the Brie, coating the top thoroughly.
  5. Bake Brie: Place the prepared Brie in the preheated oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes. The cheese should be warm throughout with a soft center that still retains its shape.
  6. Optional Honey Drizzle and Final Garnish: Remove the Brie from the oven. If desired, drizzle honey on top for a touch of sweetness. Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the cheese for a fresh finish.
  7. Serve: Serve the baked Brie warm alongside crackers or baguette slices for dipping and spreading.

Notes

  • Lightly trimming the rind is optional but helps with ease of serving.
  • Use fresh herbs for more vibrant flavor, but dried herbs work well too.
  • The honey drizzle adds a sweet contrast to the savory herbs but can be omitted based on preference.
  • Serve immediately to enjoy the Brie at its melty best.
