  • Pinch of black pepper

  • 34 ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the banana: Peel and chop your banana into smaller pieces. If using frozen banana, allow it to thaw for a few minutes to blend more easily.
  2. Prepare the lemon: Wash the lemon thoroughly, then grate some zest using a fine grater. Cut the lemon in half and squeeze out the juice, ensuring no seeds get into the juice.
  3. Prepare the ginger: Peel the thumb-sized piece of fresh ginger, then grate it finely. Alternatively, if using pre-minced ginger, measure out 1 teaspoon.
  4. Combine ingredients: Add the chopped banana, lemon juice, lemon zest, grated ginger, ground turmeric, plant milk, ice cubes, honey or maple syrup if using, and a pinch of black pepper to your blender.
  5. Blend until smooth: Blend all ingredients thoroughly until you achieve a smooth texture. If the smoothie is too thick, add a little more plant milk and blend again. If it isn’t cold enough, add extra ice cubes and blend.
  6. Serve and enjoy: Pour the smoothie into a glass and enjoy immediately to savor the fresh, vibrant flavors at their best.
