  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Glaze:

  • 4 2/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Warm water (as needed)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: Whisk together the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Set aside. In a separate bowl, combine the wet ingredients and mix well. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and knead until combined.
  2. Rise the Dough: Let the dough rise until almost doubled in size, about 1 to 2 hours.
  3. Prepare the Filling: Combine cinnamon and sugar in a bowl. Roll out the dough and sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  4. Shape and Cut: Roll up the dough, cut into pieces, and let rise for 45 minutes.
  5. Fry or Bake: Fry the honey buns until golden brown or bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 18 minutes.
  6. Glaze: Whisk together powdered sugar, honey, butter, vanilla, and salt. Dip each bun into the glaze.
