For the Ginger Base
- 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, peeled and grated
- 2 ½ ounces lemon juice (juice of 1 lemon), freshly squeezed
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons water
To Serve
- 16 ounces sparkling water (carbonated water)
- Ice cubes
- Squeeze the lemon: Cut the lemon in half and squeeze out the juice to yield approximately 2 ½ ounces of fresh lemon juice.
- Combine ingredients in blender: Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice, peeled and grated fresh ginger, honey, and water to a blender.
- Blend the mixture: Blend all ingredients together until well combined.
- Strain the mixture: Pour the blended mixture through a fine strainer to remove the ginger pulp for a smooth ginger ale base.
- Prepare to serve: Fill a glass with ice cubes.
