Ingredients

Scale

Fruit Ingredients

  • 1 ripe pear, peeled, cored and roughly chopped
  • 56 strawberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1 prune

Additional Ingredients

  • 12 tablespoons honey (optional)
  • 4 cups water

Instructions

  1. Soak the Prune: Place the prune in a small bowl and cover it with hot water. Let it soak for 10 minutes to soften and release its beneficial properties.
  2. Blend All Ingredients: Add the pear, strawberries, soaked prune, honey (if using), and 4 cups of water into a blender. Blend on high speed for 2-3 minutes until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  3. Strain the Juice (Optional): For a smoother texture suitable for toddlers who may prefer less pulp, strain the juice through a fine mesh colander or a nut bag over a bowl. The nut bag provides the thinnest consistency, while no straining keeps it pulpy. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Honey is optional and should not be given to children under 1 year old due to risk of botulism.
  • Adjust water quantity depending on preferred juice thickness.
  • Straining the juice can help make it easier to drink for kids sensitive to pulp.
  • Use fresh or frozen strawberries as preferred.
  • Always ensure the juice is served at a safe, cool temperature for toddlers.
