These Healthy 3-Ingredient Brownies are a guilt-free treat that require minimal ingredients and effort. Brownie Batter

  • 4 ripe bananas (about 450–480g peeled)
  • ⅓ cup (35 g) cocoa powder
  • ⅔ cup (167 g) natural peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8-inch (20 cm) square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang on two sides to make removing the brownies easier after baking.
  2. Blend the batter: Peel the bananas and add them to a food processor. Blend until completely smooth and creamy. Then add the cocoa powder and natural peanut butter to the processor, blending again until the mixture forms a thick and smooth batter.
  3. Optional sweetness: Taste the batter. If you prefer a sweeter flavor, you can add your choice of sweetener (such as maple syrup or agave nectar) at this time and mix it thoroughly into the batter.
  4. Bake: Evenly spread the batter into the prepared baking pan. Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes until the brownies are set in the center and a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean with just a few moist crumbs.
  5. Cool & slice: Remove the pan from the oven and let the brownies cool in the pan for at least 15 to 20 minutes. Then, use the parchment paper overhang to lift the brownies out of the pan. Once fully cooled, cut into squares. The texture of the brownies will improve as they cool completely.

  • You can add a natural sweetener like maple syrup, agave nectar, or coconut sugar to increase sweetness if desired.
  • Make sure the bananas are very ripe for the best natural sweetness and moist texture.
  • Use natural peanut butter without added sugars or oils for the healthiest version.
