  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 8 oz mafalda pasta (uncooked – or any short noodle *see note)
  • 2 ½ cups beef broth
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded)

Instructions

  1. Heat the Ground Beef: Heat a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it into smaller pieces. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Season the Beef: Add dried minced onion, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Stir to combine.
  3. Add Remaining Ingredients: Stir in marinara sauce, uncooked pasta, beef broth, and milk. Scrape any brown bits from the bottom of the pot.
  4. Simmer: Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 15 minutes until pasta is cooked and liquid is absorbed.
  5. Add Cheese: Stir in shredded mozzarella cheese and cook until melted.
