  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the Bread: Carefully slice the loaf of bread into 1-inch pieces, being cautious not to cut through the bottom of the loaf. You should create a crosshatch pattern without splitting the loaf completely.
  3. Make the Garlic Butter Mixture: In a medium-sized bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, garlic powder, oregano, dried parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  4. Apply the Garlic Butter: Using a pastry brush, generously brush the garlic butter mixture in between each slice of bread, ensuring that it seeps into all the crevices. Reserve some of the butter for drizzling over the top.
  5. Stuff with Cheese: Gently pull apart the slices and fill them with shredded mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese, tucking the cheese into every layer as you go along.
  6. Bake the Bread: Drizzle the remaining garlic butter mixture over the top of the loaf, making sure to cover it. Wrap the whole loaf in aluminum foil and place it on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes.
