Ingredients

Scale

Main Marinade:

  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium head garlic, pressed
  • 1 cup real mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp Mrs. Dash, Vegeta, or Italian seasoning

Ribs:

  • 4 lbs ribs: Country Style, Baby Back, or Pork Spare Ribs

BBQ Sauce:

  • ¾ of a 16 oz bottle of BBQ sauce

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a large mixing bowl, combine sliced onion, pressed garlic, mayonnaise, salt, pepper, seasoning of choice, and bay leaves. Stir until fully combined.
  2. Marinate the Ribs: Add the ribs to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or overnight for deeper flavor.
  3. Bake the Ribs: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Arrange the marinated ribs in a large glass baking dish, cover tightly with aluminum foil, and bake for 2 hours.
  4. Add the BBQ Sauce: Remove the dish from the oven and carefully drain any excess fat. Brush both sides of the ribs generously with BBQ sauce.
  5. Final Bake: Cover the dish with foil again and bake for 15 more minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 15–25 minutes, until the ribs are caramelized and the sauce has thickened.
  6. Serve warm and enjoy the tender, flavorful results!

Notes

  • For a smokier flavor, consider finishing the ribs on a grill instead of the oven.
  • Adjust the seasoning and BBQ sauce to suit your taste preferences.
