These Crockpot Sweet and Spicy Kielbasa Bites are the perfect blend of smoky, sweet, and spicy flavors. They make a great appetizer for parties or a delicious main dish served over rice.

Kielbasa:

  • 3 lb smoked polska kielbasa (1/3 inch slices)

Sauce:

  • 1 12 oz chili sauce (i.e. Heinz)
  • 1 10 oz jar pineapple preserves
  • 1 cup thick smoky barbecue sauce (i.e. Sweet Baby Rays)
  • 12 tsp red pepper flakes (Adjust to your taste)
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp ground cumin

Instructions

  1. Spray the Crockpot: Spray the inside of a 6-quart oval crockpot with cooking spray. Arrange the kielbasa slices on the bottom.
  2. Mix the Sauce: In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the chili sauce, pineapple preserves, barbecue sauce, red pepper flakes, vinegar, garlic salt, onion powder, and cumin.
  3. Pour Sauce Over Kielbasa: Pour the sauce evenly over the kielbasa slices.
  4. Cook: Cover and lock the lid. Cook on high for 2-3 hours or on low for 4-6 hours.
  5. Serve: Keep warm until serving.
