Ingredients

Scale

Chicken and Broth

  • 1.52 Pounds Chicken Breast
  • 3.5 Cups Chicken Broth
  • ½ Stick Butter, cut into pats

Soup and Seasonings

  • 2 10.5 Oz Cans Cream Of Chicken Soup
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Chicken Bouillon
  • 24 Tablespoons Dried Parsley

Noodles

  • 12 Oz Egg Noodles

Instructions

  1. Season the Chicken: Add the chicken breasts into the crockpot. Season them evenly with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and chicken bouillon to infuse flavor right from the start.
  2. Add Cream of Chicken Soup: Pour the two cans of cream of chicken soup over the chicken breasts, smoothing it out to cover them evenly and create a creamy base.
  3. Add Butter and Broth: Place pats of butter on top of the soup and add 3.5 cups of chicken broth, which will cook the chicken gently and keep it tender.
  4. Cook on High: Cover the crockpot with its lid and set it to high heat. Cook for 3 to 4 hours, allowing the chicken to cook through and become very tender.
  5. Shred the Chicken and Add Noodles: Carefully remove the lid and use two forks to shred the cooked chicken breasts directly in the crockpot. Add the egg noodles and stir to make sure they are fully submerged in the liquid.
  6. Cook Noodles: Replace the lid and cook on high for another 20 to 30 minutes, or until the egg noodles are tender and fully cooked through.
  7. Finish and Serve: Stir in the dried parsley to add a fresh herbal note, serve warm, and enjoy your comforting crockpot chicken and noodles meal.

Notes

  • You can adjust the amount of dried parsley based on your preference for herbal flavor.
  • Using high heat speeds up cooking, but for even more tender chicken, you can cook on low for 6-8 hours instead.
  • If you prefer a thicker sauce, reduce the chicken broth amount slightly or cook uncovered during the last 30 minutes.
  • For a lower sodium option, use low-sodium chicken broth and reduced-salt soup.
