  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 3/4 tsp. kosher salt
  • 3/4 tsp. black pepper

For Pasta:

  • 1 lb. pasta of choice (bucatini, spaghetti, pappardelle, or fettuccine)
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 1/2 cups finely chopped yellow onion
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup chicken broth
  • 3/4 tsp. kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmigiano Reggiano cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon zest plus 3 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Prepare Water: Bring a large pot of generously salted water to a boil.
  2. Cook Chicken: Season chicken with olive oil, lemon zest, and spices. Cook in a skillet until golden and cooked through.
  3. Cook Pasta: Cook pasta until almost al dente while preparing the sauce. Reserve pasta water.
  4. Make Sauce: Cook onion and garlic. Add cream, broth, seasonings, and lemon. Simmer until slightly thickened.
  5. Combine: Toss pasta in the sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed. Top with sliced chicken.
  6. Finish: Garnish with parsley, Parmesan, pepper, and lemon juice before serving.
