Chicken Kotleti:

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 cup Panko bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion, grated
  • 1/2 cup flour (for dredging)
  • Olive oil or canola oil for sautéing

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Prepare the Bread Mixture In a bowl, combine 1 cup of Panko bread crumbs with 1/2 cup of milk. Let the mixture stand for 5 minutes, allowing the bread crumbs to absorb the milk.
  2. Step 2: Make the Chicken Mixture Add the ground chicken, sour cream, salt, pepper, egg, and grated onion to the bread crumb mixture. Stir everything together until well combined.
  3. Step 3: Shape the Patties Wet your hands slightly and form the chicken mixture into oval-shaped patties. Dredge each patty in flour on both sides, ensuring a light coating.
  4. Step 4: Cook the Patties Heat 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil (or canola oil) in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Place the patties in the skillet and cook, covered, for about 5 minutes on the first side or until golden brown. Flip and cook for another 3 minutes on the other side, adding more oil if needed. Serve warm.
