Bunny Bait Easter Snack Mix is a festive, sweet and salty treat perfect for Easter celebrations. This easy no-cook recipe combines crunchy popcorn, pretzels, colorful M&M’S, miniature marshmallows, and sprinkles, all coated in smooth white candy melts for a fun and delicious snack that kids and adults will love.

Ingredients

Scale

Snack Mix

  • 12 cups popped popcorn (plain)
  • 3 cups miniature pretzels
  • 10 ounces M&M’S
  • 10 ounces miniature marshmallows (colored preferred)
  • 1/2 cup sprinkles

Candy Coating

  • 16 ounces white candy melts (such as Ghirardelli, Candiquik, or similar)

Instructions

  1. Combine Dry Ingredients: Add the 12 cups of popped popcorn and 3 cups of miniature pretzels to a very large mixing bowl. If your bowl isn’t large enough to toss the ingredients comfortably, line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat and combine the ingredients there.
  2. Melt Candy Coating: Melt the 16 ounces of white candy melts according to the package instructions, usually by microwaving in short intervals and stirring until smooth and fully melted.
  3. Coat Popcorn and Pretzels: Pour the melted white candy melts over the popcorn and pretzels. Use tongs to gently toss the mixture until everything is evenly coated with the melted candy.
  4. Add Remaining Ingredients: Add 10 ounces of miniature marshmallows, 10 ounces of M&M’S, and 1/2 cup of sprinkles to the coated popcorn and pretzels. Toss again using tongs to ensure the marshmallows, candies, and sprinkles are well-distributed and stick to the candy coating.
  5. Set and Serve: Spread the mixture out on the lined baking sheet if desired and let the snack mix set for about 30 minutes at room temperature to allow the candy coating to harden.
  6. Store Properly: Once set, break the mix apart into bite-sized clusters and store in an airtight container to keep it fresh.

Notes

  • You can substitute white candy melts with white chocolate chips or almond bark if desired.
  • For a colorful variation, use different flavors or colors of candy melts.
  • This snack mix is best enjoyed within 3-4 days when stored in an airtight container.
  • If marshmallows melt slightly during mixing, allow the mixture to cool completely before storing.
  • Use a large bowl or work in batches to prevent overcrowding and ensure even coating.
