Bundt Pan Nachos are a fun and easy party appetizer that reimagines classic nachos with a clever bundt pan twist. Layers of seasoned ground beef, melted Colby jack cheese, and crunchy tortilla chips are stacked in a bundt pan, baked to perfection, then inverted for an impressive presentation. Perfect for sharing, topped with optional sour cream, tomatoes, and cilantro for added freshness.

Ingredients

Scale

Meat Mixture

  • ½ pound lean ground beef
  • ½ cup diced yellow onion
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning

Cheese

  • 8 ounces Colby jack cheese, shredded

Chips

  • 12 ounces bag of tortilla chips (Tostitos brand – use about of the bag)

Optional Garnish

  • Sour cream
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Chopped fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Bundt Pan: Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). Spray a 12-cup capacity bundt pan with cooking spray to ensure the nachos don’t stick, then set it aside.
  2. Cook Ground Beef Mixture: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the lean ground beef, diced yellow onion, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 6–7 minutes, stirring occasionally until the beef is fully cooked and no pink remains. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add Taco Seasoning and Water: Return the skillet to medium heat, stir in ¼ cup water and 2 tablespoons of taco seasoning. Cook for another 2–3 minutes, stirring occasionally until most of the liquid evaporates. Remove from heat.
  4. Layer First Ingredients: Into the prepared bundt pan, layer half of the shredded Colby jack cheese evenly on the bottom. Next, add half of the cooked beef mixture. Top this with about one-third of the tortilla chips, making sure not to pack them down to maintain crispiness.
  5. Add Remaining Layers: Add the remaining cheese evenly on top of the chips, followed by the rest of the ground beef mixture. Finally, add another one-third of the tortilla chips on top to complete the stacking layer. Avoid overfilling; keep the layers even.
  6. Bake the Nachos: Place the bundt pan in the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt thoroughly and everything to heat through.
  7. Invert onto Plate: Remove the bundt pan from the oven carefully. Place a large, heatproof plate over the bundt pan, then invert the pan so the nachos release onto the plate. Carefully lift the bundt pan away. If any cheese sticks to the pan, reposition it on top of the nachos while still hot.
  8. Add Garnishes and Serve: Top the nachos with optional garnishes such as sour cream, diced tomatoes, and chopped fresh cilantro as desired. Serve immediately while warm and enjoy your creative and delicious bundt pan nachos!

Notes

  • Use a well-sprayed bundt pan to ensure easy release of the nachos when inverted.
  • Do not pack tortilla chips tightly; keeping them loose preserves their crispiness.
  • You can substitute Colby jack cheese with a Mexican blend or cheddar cheese if preferred.
  • For spicier nachos, add extra chili powder or cayenne pepper to the taco seasoning.
  • Leftover nachos can be reheated in the oven but may lose some crispness.
