Ingredients

Scale

Liquid Ingredients

  • 6 cups cold water
  • 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk (or more to taste)

Produce

  • 5 limes (cut into wedges)

Sweeteners

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

Additional

  • Ice for serving

Instructions

  1. Combine ingredients in blender: Add the cold water, lime wedges, and granulated sugar into a blender. Blend until the lime wedges are fully broken down and the mixture is smooth.
  2. Strain the mixture: Place a fine mesh strainer over a bowl and pour the blended mixture through it, capturing the liquid while discarding the lime pulp and peel remains left in the strainer.
  3. Prepare blender for next blend: Rinse out the blender thoroughly. Pour the strained lime juice mixture back into the blender.
  4. Add sweetened condensed milk and blend: Add the sweetened condensed milk to the strained liquid and blend again until the mixture becomes smooth and frothy.
  5. Serve: Fill glasses with ice and pour the Brazilian lemonade over the ice. Garnish with fresh lime slices if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Be careful not to over-blend the limes to avoid bitterness from the rind.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding more or less sweetened condensed milk according to your taste preference.
  • Use fresh, firm limes for the best flavor and acidity.
  • This recipe yields about 6 servings.
  • Serve immediately to enjoy the fresh frothy texture.
