  • 2 cups bread crumbs (1 cup seasoned Italian-style bread crumbs and 1 cup panko bread crumbs, or all seasoned bread crumbs)

For the Honey Mustard Sauce:

  • ⅓ cup Dijon mustard
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • ⅓ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ teaspoon poppy seeds (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken Strips: Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Line a large, rimmed baking sheet with foil for easy clean-up.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the Dijon mustard, mayonnaise, and pressed garlic cloves. Let the mixture sit for a few minutes to allow the garlic to infuse into the marinade.
  3. In another bowl, place the bread crumbs.
  4. Prepare the Chicken: Rinse and pat dry the chicken breasts using paper towels. Trim off any excess fat and cut the breasts into 1-inch thick strips.
  5. Season the chicken strips lightly with sea salt and pepper on both sides.
  6. Coat the Chicken Strips: Add the chicken strips to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Then, roll each chicken strip in the bread crumbs, making sure the chicken is evenly coated.
